THE BODY MAP

a guided, group coaching and breathwork circle for navigating anxiety + burnout

NEW DATES COMING SOON!

* I respect the nuances of anxiety and overwhelm. It is always recommended that the practices here are used as a companion alongside the support of a licensed therapist. If you have a pre-existing, mental health concern, I recommend you start this work alongside the supervision of a doctor or therapist.

In this four-week circle, we will rise and grow together into a new awareness of how to manage our overwhelming feelings using the intelligence of our very own bodies.

Our bodies will become our eyes and ears; navigating and charting new terrains of understanding stress, anxiety and burnout and building a strong center of control from which we can rely on and lead from.

The intention of this space and time together is connect with our bodies, to open us to new ideas and feelings, to deepen our emotional intelligence and amplify our resiliency.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Body Map is for those who find slowing down and relaxing difficult – for those struggling to quiet the mind and settle the body and for those with an urgency in their bodies to understand and process feelings of overwhelm.

By the end of this class you will have a deep understanding of how to use your biology to change your mind; allowing for more adaptability between stressful and restful states as well as a reduction in stress hormones and inflammation.

You will have a new perspective, new awareness and new tools that you can depend on that are fast-acting and at your disposal whenever you need to check in and tune into the power of the body.

BELIEVE IN YOUR BODY

When we drop out of the head and into the body, we discover an intelligence that is impactful, practical and transformative. We wonder why we haven’t found and used this before to feel our way through anxiety, stress and burnout.

Our body offers us a deeper, richer and fuller connection to our potential, resiliency and perseverance when life becomes overwhelming and our mind struggles to keep up.

Our body is innately wise and incredibly good at communicating. In this fast-past life we lead, we often become detached from this source of wisdom and default to the mind for answers. However, when we turn to the body for advice instead of the mind, many deep insights begin to unfold. It becomes our steadfast compass and navigation tool for charting the course of life. We can use our biology to change our mind; map our emotions, navigating our feelings, seeing our conditioning and removing our imprints.

We will be working with body-based practices and transformational tools that work quickly, have long-lasting neurological affects and that upgrade our biology for the better.

IN THESE SESSIONS…

we will build awareness from these new-felt places of discovery,

with awareness comes new experiences and new experiences allow new ways of feeling.

The body gives us a profound agency over our emotions and feelings.

We will uncover profound ways…

in which we can use our bodies to witness the change we want to see. These sessions narrow in on the nervous system and how to regulate emotions and feelings with proven, scientific practices that target your biology. You can expect this work to bring you a timeless and empowered sense of control and a safe place to land in the overwhelming moments life relentlessly delivers.

NURTURE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM

this is the roadmap to integrating balance into your body, your mind and your relationships

OUR INTERNAL COMPASS

The Nervous System is our antenna reading the field both around and within us. It reads EVERYTHING!

The function of our nervous system is to deliver messages from the body to the brain signaling if we are stressed or if we are calm. Because of evolution, we are now stuck in a sympathetic state (stressed) about 80% of the time. This means our body is on high alert and so are our feelings. This does not bode well over time, causing an inflammed body and inflammed stress. We can however, communicate directly with the Nervous System through the Vagus Nerve using many bodywork practices. When we have the tools to “tone” our Vagus Nerve, we can directly manipulate the nervous system allowing us to better adapt to our environment and stabilize our stress response. We can re-condition our bodies to feel and witness higher states of being.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WITNESSING YOUR WHOLENESS

The ESSENCE of you is found in the WHOLE YOU. We have been conditioned to believe that wisdom is isolated to the mind – just like our stress and heavy feelings float on a separate plane from our body. This separation between the mind and body has led to continued cycles of suffering, dis-ease and a great misunderstanding of our full potential.

We cannot think our way out of overwhelm. We have to move our way through with action and awareness.

The body is an invitation to explore and witness our wholeness. It invites us to go deeper to explore new ways of navigating difficult feelings and emotions. The benefits of a body-oriented approach are profound. You can expect some big shifts and changes including:

+ reducing the intensity and frequency of anxiety

+ increasing resiliency and perseverance

+ decreasing reactionary behaviors like anger

+ resetting your stress baseline

+ co-regulating your nervous system with the ones around you

+ balancing the nervous system

+ assisting the immune system

+ decreasing inflammation

+ improving physical stamina

+ improving sleep

+ increasing emotional intelligence

+ improving focus and flow state activation

+ reducing persistent stress hormones

THE BREATHWORK EXPERIENCE

Breathwork is an experience in mindful breath biology and practice. It is a multisensory approach to building emotional and physical resiliency and endurance levels using specific breathing sequences, heart coherence, and brain entrainment music. It involves guided rhythmic breathing and breath retention to alter your oxygen and carbon dioxide levels. This conscious breathwork practice creates a positive stress response that physically and emotionally releases stress on a cellular level. Please visit our page for all the health benefits of IHT HERE. Our specific programs, workshops, events and consultations balance the mind/body creating coherence of the vascular, autonomic nervous and immune systems. We advise anyone who has any concerns about breathwork practice to speak to a medical professional before they begin Intermittent Hypoxia Training, Buteyko, and any other form of breathwork.
